my routin!!!!!

My yoga routin, is
for yoga is will do twist and piviot, Seated lotus, jab - cross,  Hook & Upper cut, Jab  -cross -  Hook - Uppercut
for Plyometrics moves i will doOn the spot Jogging x 2 min,Jump squats (light jump and landing on toes) x 30 secs ,
      Circle run X I min Secs  *30secs clockwise/30 secs anti-clockwise,  Light jog x 20 secs,   Single leg air borne Heisemans x 30 secs *Land on toes
MY PE ROUTIN YES YES YES YES

what we learned

we learned about yoga and Ployometrics moves: . we also are doing a project on it. We have to make a video. We did warm up & Cool down exercises too!!!!!!!!!!!. We learned a lot by these excercises.
They were fun and good for you. :)

Week Nov 21 – 27

PE HOMEWORK :)
  • Seated lotus  It is when you sit  and your arms are on your thigh.
  • Upward facing dog/Cobra pose  when you lay down and your head is upwords.
  • Downward facing dog Is when you bend down. ( shape like a V )
  • Warrior 1/2/3   1 is when put arm up and your knees bend. 2 is when you straigt your arms
  • Forward standing bend side ways and bend! 3 is when you put an arm and leg in the air!!!!
  • Chair pose  It is when you pretend to be sitting on a chair.
  • Bridge It is when you turn. ( arms and legs back)
  • Warrior pose with left/right hand supporting  When one leg is down and the oppisite hand is on the floor!
  • Infant pose or Child's pose It is when hands and our legs go left and right. ( not sure :(
  • Infant or Child's pose with opposite arm and leg stretch x1 left & x1 right. ?
  • Half moon pose with opposite arm and leg stretch x1 left & x1 right. ?didnt learn
  • Crane ? didnt learn
  • Half boat ?didnt learn
  • Wheel ?didnt learn
  • Plank It is when you do a push up. ( not a real  push up)!
  • Full boat ?didnt learn
  • MY FITTNESS  ROUTINE : i WOULD LIKE TO DO Seated lotus,Upward facing dog/Cobra pose  ,Downward facing dog ,Warrior 1/2/3, Chair pose  Plank
  • legs and back fittness ....i would do Upward facing dog/Cobra pose  ,Downward facing dog chair pose warrior pose  plank  and not last bridge.....

  • Calisthenics    light exercises designed to promote general fitness

  • Body resistance exercises       Body resistance exercises are exercises like skipping, cross county, upper cut and lunges.

  • Circuit training Circuit training is a form of conditioning combining resistance training and high-intensity aerobics

  • Reps     Reps mean when you complete one thing from a circuit.

  • Sets

  • Warm up/Cool down   Warm up is when you jog and run. Cool down is when you take a break and you rest for some time! :)

  • How to complete a circuit    To complete a circuit you have to do all the exercieses. ( 10 ) in a circuit

    We will review & learn the following:
    Shooting:
    • Fly shooting
    • 180, 360
    • 6 cone shooting
    Passing:
    • Chest
    • Bounce pass
    • 3 man passing
    Attacking:
    • 3 on 3 attacking/Defense
    Revise the rules and play a game.
     (shooting)We did fly shooting,180s and 360s. I liked all of them but fly shooting was the best.(passing) We did passing with our chest,also with a bounce pass and 3 man passing.(attacking) We did 3 on 3 attacking and defending too. I liked that alot. This is what we did in PE!!!

    I liked doing pivoting around one cone. It was fun! We learned shooting and fly shooting too. We did fly shooting on a goal and we landed on a cushion. we did pivoting with it before we shot. We swirveled around 6 cones too. It was fun..................

    17 oct- 23 oct

    Tomorrow we will begin on a new unit in pe. Handball is an exciting, fast paced and adrenalin pumping sport no wander it is one of the largest and fastest growing sports in the world today.

    I have attached a handball video for you to watch and see what exactly the sport is about and what you would like to be able to do comfortably by the end of the unit.
     

    This week in handball
    We will learn:
     How to dribble the ball
     How to pass the ball
     Pivoting.

    I had planned not to give you any homework except post on your blog what you did this week in pe. 
    Since some of your classmates have done research on the rules of handball, your assignment is to research and hand in to the drop box called Exciting Handball your work on how to play and the rules of handball. You will also need to add the link to your blog on this document.
    This is due by Tuesday October 25 @12 noon.

    I did this homework. It was fun and easy. I learned how to play handball and the rules.

      This week’s Homework assignment Gr 6 Oct 10-16
      This week’s homework assignment for grade 6 will be to go to your blogs and post what we have done in class this week. I also want you to talk about what you have liked/disliked in the Soccer unit, what you think you need more practice of, what you feel you have learnt
      I also want to remind you that if when trying to add videos to your blog you are asked for money then cancel this. Only put your links to your works on your page. Basically just post the url of your vokis, glogsters or videos , if you’re being asked for cash, do not pay. For some people they can actually add videos and glogsters without being asked for cash or paying anything  so go ahead
      I repeat do not pay any money for anything that you have to add onto your blog..
      We will be doing Hand ball next week, so I want you to blog about that, say what your expectations are and what do you think of the game, have you played it before etc..
      Post all these on your blog then send me the link via the drop box called “This week October 10 - 16 in Pe”.
      Remember this work is due by Monday October 17 by 12 noon, no later. This and all the blog assignments are very important they will affect your grade significantly if you do or don’t complete them, so do your best and follow all the instructions carefully to get the maximum grade.

      · How to kick a soccer ball – stationery and moving

      · Square passing with 8 defenders and attackers.
      · Put all these kills in a game, record it and have students self and peer assess.

         Soccer 
      I like soccer because it is fun. I need more practice in keeping ball control and shooting.I learned basic skills. e.g tick tok and hat dance.

        Handball
      I like handball because it is fun. My expectations is to do good in handball.I think i would like it. I have  played handball before in 5th grade.

      ALSO ALL THOSE WHO HAD ANY VOKI ISSUES BUT DID NOT GET TO SEE ME AFTER CLASS YESTERDAY SEND ME YOUR ISSUES BY EMAIL OR SEE ME ON MONDAY MORNING BEFORE CLASSES BEGIN. thoughtful   


      I did this homework and learned how to make blogs and do blogging. It was fun! 



      3 October - 9 October

      Homework:
      Read the indoor soccer skills word document below and send your voki link to me at iombima @ las.edu.pk.
      I had to add this video for your enjoyment. Watch the kid who is your age in the no. 11 orange soccer jersey. Try to practice any of the skills and come and show them in class.
      I have extended the due date to Thursday October 6 at 12 noon. This is a day longer than stated on the document because this assignment was posted today at 9.25pm.


      I liked the soccer video and i did the homework for it. It was fun doing this assighnment.

      Grade 6 Moodle Instruction and Homework.
      This assignment is for both Grade 6 B & G
      This week we are starting a new course and it is Soccer!
       For the next two weeks starting from September 19-28 September  we will be learning the basic foot skills.
      Moodle Class Assignment for  grades 6 B & G.
      You are to watch the youtube video on Sick Soccer Moves
      You are to practice the following foot skills make a short video of you doing all skills in SKILL ONE & TWO put it on a glogster, name it My Soccer Skills and send it to me by Friday September 23 2011 by 12 noon sad Make your videos short even thought they will bae a couple it is easier to upload short files)
      SKILL ONE
      Ball Gymnastics – Stationary: Roll ball with the bottom of the foot frontwards, backwards, right then left sideways, then in a circular motion using the left then right foot. Start slowly then increase in speed.
      On Toes – Tick-tock:  Pass the ball from the inside of the left foot to the right
      Hat Dance: Lightly touch the ball with the bottom of the right foot then the left. Ball should remain still. Increase speed for both.
      Movement – Tick – tock: but move ball slightly forwards each touch. Take it for the length/width of the playing area that you have, then turn and return, same with Hat Dance.
      A
      ll this should take 30-40 mins you can have a water break as and when you feel like, have a cool reusable water bottle nearby.

      SKILL TWO
      Arrange cones, or flower pots, or a couple of things in a zig-zag manner in your garden. 
      · Start from one end of the cones doing the first of the ball gymnastics exercises. 
      ·  Roll the ball with the bottom of your right foot front frontwards, backwards, right then left sideways, then in a circular motion using the left then right foot.
      ·  Then move to the next cone with the ball till you reach the end then return.
      ·   Start slowly then increase in speed.
      · Continue doing this with tick-tock.
      · Continue doing this with Hat Dance.
      All this should take 30-45 min.

      inally I want you to try and do some moves of your own but also kick the ball with the other foot from the side and back as in the last move on the video.. Have fun. coolbig grin

      I did this homework.I had fun doing the movie but I was not able to upload the movie because it was to long. Then i made a short movie again.

      2. Create a voki/avatar of yourself, add a background
      3. Then give a voice by pressing the text to speech button.
      4. You will first start by introducing yourself by saying My name is…. 
      5. I want you to talk about what we have covered so far in Pe & Health this year, you can use your moodle pages as a reference. You will end by talking about what we did this week in swimming.  what types of diving did we learn this week? I want you to mention all the body positions from start to finish in diving! 
      6. You will talk about:  What you think you were good in?  What you think you could have done better?  What you think we could have done more of,  so that you could have had the time to be better at. 
      7. Remember you are limited with the amount of words that you can add 150 or so, do not write too much, make it brief but to the point. 
      8. When you are finished press the done button, then press the publish button.

      4. Name the 5 components of the freestyle stroke.
      5. Explain the following;(a)  What is the use of the kick? (b) The toe and leg position during the kick (c) How many types of kick are there, and which one is the best?
      I did my homework. I enjoyed watching the movie and doing the assighnment. It was fun because we could watch a movie.
